Hosts of Season 5: Sarah Boger and Katherine Ulrich

Sarah decided to carry on this amazing legacy project because of her love for sharing experiences and helping others. Her goal is to create a better bond and connection throughout the school and the entire JR community.

Katherine wanted to continue the Humans of James River legacy to give a platform to people who wouldnt have it otherwise. Her main goal is to help people who feel alone to know where they can reach out for more support.

Host of Season 4: Rithika Bhagavatula

Rithika decided to carry on the HOJR legacy because of her passion for mental health awareness. She believed that HOJR provides a safe place for teachers, students, and alumni to tell their stories with zero judgement. It’s important that we start to break down the stigma around mental health and create a more accepting and open society.

Host of Season 3: Ashleigh Pyle

By continuing the legacy of Humans of JR, Ashleigh hoped to provide a safe space for the community of JRHS to talk about the happy, the sad, and everything in between. Our experiences don’t define who we are, but they do shape us. Mental health and everything it encompasses, including trauma, PTSD, and behavioral disorders, is so important. Humans of JR is a way for us to talk about why we are who we are today.

Host of Season 2: Irelyn Rogan

Irelyn decided to carry on the HOJR legacy because of her extreme passion for helping others. She believed that HOJR provides a safe place for teachers and students to tell their stories with zero judgement.
